This update is about speed. Over the past weeks we audited every screen and flow in MyIPTV, tuned the performance-critical paths, and fixed 28 bugs along the way. Here's what changed.
Faster startup
The app starts quicker on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Your content is ready sooner after a cold start, so you spend less time looking at a loading screen and more time watching.
Fluid lists, even with 25,000+ channels
Big providers carry tens of thousands of channels, movies and series. We reworked how lists render and how artwork loads, so scrolling stays smooth even through a 25,000-channel playlist — including search and category filtering.
Quicker zapping
Switching channels is faster. Moving through your favorites or the guide feels more direct, with less waiting between one stream and the next.
Lower memory use
The player, the guide and the artwork caches now use less memory. That means more headroom on every device — and steadier playback during long sessions.
28 fixes across the app
While auditing every screen and flow, we fixed 28 bugs. A few examples:
- Sleep timer — now stops playback reliably, also when you've paused or left the app
- Downloads — the queue recovers properly after a connection drop instead of stalling
- Series recordings — scheduled series recordings follow guide updates more reliably
- Notifications — new-episode alerts now take you to the right place in the app
What this means for you
Nothing to learn and nothing to configure. Update the app, and it's simply faster — most of all if your provider carries a huge catalog.
The update is free for everyone, on every plan.
